Pirrie was one of the stations original presenters. The Big
P on the Big T, brought listeners his own brand of
wackiness. At the age of 21, he was the youngest of the team
and began his career at the age of 15.
His show introduced the listener to Tradio,
a sort of early Ebay, where traders could buy and sell items
to the value of £25. His career also took him to Tyne Tees
TV presenting the popular children's programme Razzamataz
with Lisa Stansfield,
the show ran from 1981 until 1987 winning the New York Film
and Television Gold Award for TV.
Alistair
now lives and works in London running his own company,
writing, producing and directing documentaries and show for
Television.
