presented the Breakfast Show from 1983 to 1985, he was also
the stations Head of Music. After leaving Tees, John did a
stint at BBC Radio Nottingham.
In 1995, John helped launch Century Radio where he was
Programme Director, he also went on to launch the Century
stations in Manchester and Nottingham. In 1997 he became
Programme Director of Talk Radio, moving on to LBC and then
BBC Radio 2.
In 2000, John once again teamed up with
John Myers at GMG Radio, where he is Group Programme
Director for both Real Radio and Smooth brands.
 In
2006, john was awarded with a Radio Academy Fellowship.
